The Symphony League was founded in 1966 for the expressed purpose of providing support for the Symphony of Santa Cruz County, and has been growing in this mission to the extent of almost 200 members consisting of volunteers dedicated in many different areas of expanding the awareness and appreciation of classical music in the County. Here are some of the ways we do this:
Organizes exciting events with donation of the proceeds to the Symphony.
Offers a series of Concert Previews for our members & guests that offer commentary by our Maestro and guest soloists prior to each concert program..
Provide volunteer support to the Symphony’s Youth & Family program by being docents along with musicians in the publics schools.
Serves refreshments to all musicians during the many Symphony rehearsals.
Provides volunteer support the the Symphony office on an as needed basis.
The Symphony League in partnership with the Symphony Association Board of directors & key supporters, promotes the appreciation of classical music in the community
